Urology and Andrology

The Urology Unit of our polyclinic offers comprehensive urological and andrological services including diagnosis and treatment of kidney stone disease, urological cancers, incontinence, infertility, impotence, female urology, pediatrics urology, prostate surgery and other urinary difficulties. The services offered are:

1. Comprehensive care for the Urinary stone diseases:
Stone disease is a very common problem all over the world. Approximately 60% of stones can be managed by lithotripsy and rest of stones needs various end urological procedures to remove the stones without open surgery like: Uretheroscopy, Ureteroscopy and Cystoscopy.

2. Intra-Corporeal Lithotripsy:
A method of treating kidney and ureteric stones without surgery, using one of the best machines available for the purpose. The positioning, focusing and delivery of shock waves are all controlled by advanced computerized system with safety cut-offs to prevent damage by human error. Patients does not need any hospital stay and can go home same day.

3. Endourology:
All aspects of Endourology (surgery through a telescope, which does not require open procedures) including treatment of prostate (TURP), bladder cancers (TURBT), urethral strictures, kidney and ureteric stones (PCNL & URS) are available.
Urodynamics:
The most advanced Urodynamics machine, which diagnose all kinds of incontinence and difficulty in passing urine so as to enable the right treatment. This laboratory has well designed facilities for the entire range of studies including uroflowmetry, filling and voiding cystometry, urethral pressure profile studies (UPP).

4. Impotence:
A problem of over 10% of adult population can be fully investigated and treated. We provide specialized facilities for pharmacotherapy, cavernosometry, in addition to Doppler studies for assessment of blood flow using Rigidometry.

5. Infertility:
We offer a complete range of facilities for investigation of male infertility. Female infertility like testicular biopsy, hormonal investigations, vaso-vasostomy………. etc.

6. Female Urology:
Urinary incontinence (urinary leak) and other urinary problems like urgency (going to the toilet frequently) and stress incontinence (leaking of urine with cough and laughing or straining) can be investigated and treated with minimally invasive methods.

7. Pediatrics Urology:
Children suffer from various urological problems, which need investigations, and accordingly planned treatment, which may be performed in stages.

8. Reconstructive Urology:
Many reconstructive urological surgeries like pyeloplasty, urethral stricture surgery, hypospedias surgery, surgery for Undescended testis and other congenital disorder are carried out routinely.
