Introduction.

Ummal Qura Medical group founded by. Late Dr. Ali Sher (Consultant Physician) in 1983 to started with a Polyclinic and after few years of his successful services in the health care department, achieved a big goal and to established Ummal Qura General Hospital in 1990.Founding father of Ummal Qura Medical Group had mission to provide round the clock (24Hours)services with model Pharmacies in order serve the maximum Pilgrims and local communities of this Holy City of Makkah.

By the continuous efforts of day and night safe Pharmaceutical Services, Ummal Qura Pharmacies achieved the level of Model Pharmacies in this Holy Capital and fulfilling the noble cause of the founding father by serving maximum number of patients/customers and Pilgrims. There are two Ummal Qura Medical Center Pharmacies attached with the Medical Centers of Ummal Qura One In Alkakiya District and One In Ummal Jood District.

Pharmacies designed with prominent different counters like, Prescription reception counter, Billing/Payment Counter and Separate Prescription Dispensing counter with proper labelling instructions as per MOH Protocol etc. 4. We are dealing with hundreds of our facility patients both cash and insurance every day and Dispensing of many Prescriptions from different Hospitals/Polyclinics patients and community Customers/patients with professional approach and trying to give them satisfactory services and counsel them for the right usage of medicines for its maximum effectiveness. 5. Dispensing, Counselling and educating the patients for better outcome of medicines and educate the patients with Cost effectiveness therapy with Generic Substitutions of Brands. 6. We have advance Computerized integrated System for Electronic Generic Prescriptions for our facility Patients and developed as standard protocols of MOH Guidelines and CCHI requirements of Generic Prescriptions for all Insurance patients. 7. Our Pharmacy Group has wide range of Generics substitutions and we are dealing with all insurance companies and keep almost all Generics as per Insurance Drug Formulary (IDF) which is approved formulary from CCHI (Council of Cooperative Health insurance) 8. Follow the MOH policies regarding Dispensing as an OTC AND PRESCRIPTIONS DRUGS and Double check policy to minimize the Dispensing errors for the patient safety. 9. Patient Awareness and counselling is our regular practices about most prevailing health issues of our communities as Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, Asthma and Endemic, Pandemic diseases and how to use different Medical devices for self-monitoring of Chronic diseases like B.P Monitoring Devices, Nebulizers Machines and Blood Sugar Monitoring Devices etc. 10. We also Educate and counsel the immunization program of Peds and adults as immunization of Peds as per Standard MOH and WHO approved program and seasonal Flue and other vaccines etc. 11. We also have Cosmetic and Non-Medicine Sections in order to fulfill the needs of our local community.
